Passengers cheat death in car accident in Kokaka, Meme

A public transport vehicle has left passengers terrified after an accident in Kokaka village, Konye Sub-division of Meme division in the South West Region.

The incident occured Wednesday June 22, 2022.

The public transport, witnesses say was heading to Kumba when the unfortunate incident occured.

Eyewitness have blamed the accident on high speed.

“The driver was on high speed when one of the tires fired, landing the vehicle in a culvert,” an eyewitness told MMI.

“…….the driver was struggling to reach Kumba before 6pm because no vehicle is allowed on Kumba Mamfe road after 6pm,” explained one of the accident victims.

Amateur footages from the scene of the accident show the vehicle helplessly upsidedown, with passengers being pulled out of the vehicle by villagers.

“We thank God nobody died,” the eyewitness added.
