Yaounde: Man trampled to death by cow

A man has died in Olembe, Yaounde after he was gored by a cow which derailed from a herd.

Witnesses say a herd was being taken across the town through the area when one derailed. The ‘mad’ animal is said to have ran into a man, mauling him to death.

The incident has again evoked feelings of contempt among many who feel cattle herders need to be more vigilant while in the community.

Cattle owners have often had issues with communities while on transit as well as in remote localities where they often break ranks and devour the crops of farmers.
