PLO Lumumba calls for release of Ayuk Tabe, other Anglophone crisis detainees

The Director of the Kenya School of Law, PLO Lumumba has called on the international community to remember the NERA10 and other detainees of the Anglophone crisis.

The Pan Africanist took to social media to remind his followers to keep seeking for the release of jailed separatist leader, Ayuk Tabe and co.

“Let us not forget that Ambazonians seeking justice for their People are languishing in jail in Cameroon,” he wrote.

He added: “Let us make effort to have Sisiku Ayuk Tabe and his Comrades recognised as prisoners of conscience”.

Ayuk Tabe and other separatist leaders who would later become known as the NERA 10 it should be recalled were extradited from Nigeria in in 2019.

After almost 10 months of being jailed incommunicado, they were tried and given heavy sentences and fines, and are till ate still being held at the Kondengui Prison in Yaoundé.

Hundreds have also been arrested in connection to the ongoing crisis and are being held in detention centers across Cameroon.
