IDP stabbed to death in Douala

A boy believed to be in his mid twenties has succumbed to the cold hands of death in the Anciene 7me Omnisport neighborhood in Cameroon’s economic capital, Douala.

Internally displaced due to the ongoing was in the English speaking regions of the country, locals say he was only known as Platinie.

He is said to have been stabbed twice in the back by unknown persons and allowed to bleed to death in the early hours of the day.

His body was only retrieved by locals in daylight as they sought to go about their daily activities.

The motive behind his murder remains unknown.

Douala, Cameroon’s biggest city is host to thousands of Internally displaced persons, IDPs escaping the war in the North West and South West regions.
