The once very popular singer in Cameroon has informed his fans and others to attend his last public upcoming performance because it simply may be the last time he will be performing in Cameroon as he will soon move to Canada.
The makossa singer in Cameroon has been known for being very outspoken when it concerns politics and has never shied away from giving his own opinions on political discourse irrespective of what the consequences may be on him.
Today however, many remember him for his sorrowful antics on public television and on social media where he was seen begging in tears for the government to return his passport to him.
Prior to that, Longué Longué was very vocal against the president of the Republic and was even on very many occasions pictured by the side of the CRM’s political party president, Maurice Kamto during presidential campaigns in 2018.
The singer, even famously after the results of the election had been released, touted that President Paul Biya had rigged the elections and that if the results were fairly counted, then Kamto would have won by even 500%.
Today, as a free man, the Makossa legend has told his supporters and other Cameroonians that he may soon be moving to Canada and may not return to Cameroon again.
Many think that the decision to leave, however, may have nothing to do with the singer’s career and has all to do with his political alienations in the country.
Longué Longué has been persecuted on several counts and may be escaping from impending witchhunting.
