Popular artist, Town Cryer, personal assistant arrested for staging protest against Phone tax

Danny Green popularly known as ‘Town Cryer’ has taken on his Facebook page, to announce that he and his personal assistant were arrested by security forces over a protest in solidarity with the #EndPhoneTax movement in Cameroon.

Danny went ahead to explain how everything in their possession were seized.

“Yesterday I was arrested at post central Yoaunde along with my PA @ndeadonis
We have been in detention and every of our belongings confiscated since last night! Thank God for the intervention of my new management team and my lawyer I’ve my phone now that’s why I’m able to post this video I recorded last night. I just want my fans to be alert and calm just pray for me I will be ok…
I’m not hurt or harmed, So far I’ve not received any form of maltreatment…
Thank you for love and support. If you love me please say a prayer for me,” he wrote.
