President Paul Biya says Ni John Fru Ndi’s political prowess was invaluable

Cameroon’s president, Paul Biya is one of the country’s prominent politicians, who has reacted to Ni John Fru Ndi’s demise.

Mr Biya said Ni John Fru Ndi was “an important figure in Cameroon’s political sphere.”

President Biya has had political rivals in the likes of Professor Maurice Kamto, Kah Walla, late Adamou Ndam Njoya, and many others, but Fru Ndi remained the most consistent politicians for over the three decades that he has been challenging the Biya regime – calling them out on bad governance, unemployment, election rigging and the Anglophone Crisis.

Fru Ndi, the chairman of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) died on Monday, June 12, 2023.
