On December 4, 2023, President Paul Biya of Cameroon will receive New Year wishes for 2024 at the Unity Palace, also known as the Etoudi Palace.
The annual event will be attended by members of the diplomatic corps, Cameroonian ministers, politicians, and other dignitaries.
The ceremony is a traditional and significant gathering in the country’s political and social calendar.

After tomorrow’s event, the first lady, will organise a similar ceremony, the president of the senate will follow suit, the president of the national assembly and others.
Born on 13 February 1933 as Paul Barthélemy Biya’a bi Mvondo, Paul Biya has served as the second president of Cameroon since 6 November 1982, following his tenure as the prime minister of Cameroon from 1975 to 1982.
With his presidency extending for decades, he holds the distinction of being the second-longest-ruling president in Africa and the world’s longest consecutively serving non-royal national leader, also earning the title of the oldest current head of state globally.
His current mandate ends in 2025.
