Some 680 youths in the North West will this year benefit from training and funding under the special youth plan and other state projects.
This was announced at the launch of the National Program on Civic and Moral Rearmament and Entrepreneurial Promotion.
Forty youths will be selected in each of the 34 sub-divisions of the North West region this 2022. The youths will be trained and funded to execute different projects.
The Secretary General at the North West governor’s office, Viang Mekala cautioned the youth affairs officials to ensure that the target is met.
He assured the youths that, through the three years special youth plan, the head of state is determined to solve youth problems.
The regional delegate of youth affairs and civic education, Odilia Mbahwei on her part called on the youths to register and be trained in entrepreneurship because the money is available.
The program will also focus on building the civic and moral standards of youths in the region.
