Press under attack in Cameroon: Four media workers arrested

Four media workers who were covering today’s anti-government protest have been arrested.

Among them are two Journalists and two Cameramen. They are:

1)Tah Jarvis, arrested in Douala (Journalist, My Media Prime TV)


2)Lindovi Ndjio arrested in Yaounde (Journalist, La Nouvelle Expression)


3)Rodrigue Ngassi Yaounde (Camaraman, Equinoxe TV)


4)Tebong Christian apprehended in Douala (Camaraman for My Media Prime)

The Committee to Protect Journalists, CPJ says it is investigating the latest arrests, and urged the government to allow journalist do their job.

#Cameroon: Investigating reports of at least 3 journalists arrested in #Douala while covering opposition protests, incl. Tah Mai Jarvis, Tebong Christian & Lindovi Ndijo. Authorities must allow the press to report. The protests are newsworthy & citizens have a right to know.
