Nchinda Yemeni Sylvain aka Jet Set, was kidnapped by a Bafut camp of Amba from his building material store at mobile Nkwen Bamenda 3 two weeks ago and has not been released despite all underground negotiations.

The fighters are demanding 15 milion FCFA from the family. Sources say the family has paid close to 6 million FCFA and he is still in captivity.

Jetset as he is popularly known has a staff of close to 20 young men and women he is paying, all anglophones. According to our source, the only reason for his abduction is because his snacks sells Le Brasseries du Cameroun drinks considered illegal by the amba fighters.

The Bafut amba camp under a certain general Aladji reports claim, is notorious for kidnapping for ransom and other human rights abuses.

Many who are victims have testified that they have always been taken to Bafut after being kidnapped by the said group.

Talking to seperatist leaders, the ADF and IG of Sako have all said general Aladji and gang is not part of any of their groups.
