Renowned Cameroonian comedian Blaise Kalaba has been laid to rest alongside his four siblings in Bafoussam, West Region of Cameroon.
The five relatives were involved in a fatal accident in Baré, a small town in the Moungo Division, Littoral region on Friday, July 14, 2023.
They were said to be on their way from their uncle’s burial when their private vehicle collided with a General Express Travel Agency bus. The comedian and his siblings, three women and one man all perished on the spot as a result of the violent collision.
Apart from being a comedian, Blaise Kalaba was a journalist at Balafon TV.
He was reputed for his short comedy videos posted on his Facebook page. Trained by the Academy of Valéry NDONGO, he performed at various events, both official and private.
His death came shortly after that of two other renowned comedians, Cabrel Nanjip and Samy Lenwr who were both involved in road accidents.
