Sangmelima: Man on the run after cutting off girlfriend’s arm for talking rudely to him

A young man by name Christian is said to have cut off his girlfriend’s arm in Sangmelima, South Region of Cameroon, after claiming the latter addressed him in a rude manner.

The incident occurred Friday, September 23, 2022.

Reports indicate that Christian was involved in a quarrel with his partner, when he revealed he was tired of the manner in which she addressed him.

In the course of the quarrel, according to François Mbesse, elder brother to the victim, Christian threatened to kill his girlfriend and she dared him to.

Without hesitation, the young man grabbed a machete and cut off the lady’s hand, reports say.

Immediately after committing the act, Christian fled away and has not been seen to date. The young girl in question was rushed to the hospital, where she is responding to treatment.
