Many residents have confirmed security men have been searching homes at Ndamukong, and Ntabessi in Bamenda III sub division.
“I was standing outside when I saw them. They asked me to get into the house. They advised we stay indoors until their mission is over. I questioned how soon and the answer was, ‘I don’t know’ a resident at Ndamukong narrated to MMI.
Another writes “a second group of nine gendarmes just left my house. Four of them got in, introduced themselves and their mission. But left immediately I told them we had already been searched”.
“They left the whole area when they learnt all the houses around had been searched, they said they were here for our security apparently it was a ‘caler caler”.
‘It is not clear what they are looking for but we are sure the crisis in the region has prompted these checks’ a resident writes.
