Momo CPDM Campaign Caravan Survives Separatist Attacks

Four militants of the Cameroon People Democratic Movement(CPDM) party and a police man are responding to treatment in hospitals in Mbengwi and Bamenda in the North West region of Cameroon.

They sustained bullet wounds in two separate attacks while travelling to Mbengwi for campaign on Saturday January 1st 2020.

First, Ambazonia boys launched attack in a locality called Alahnki situated along Bamenda/Mbengwi high way. Here, two militants and a police officer were injured.

Driving for about two kilometres from the area of the first attack, boys fighting for the restoration of the state of Ambazonia made another attempt to stop the convoy from reaching Mbengwi. This happened around Nguembo village. Two militants were wounded bringing the total number to four militants of the CPDM and a policeman wounded.

Besides the wounded militants and a police office, a vehicle in the convoy belonging to out going member of parliament Hon. Enwi Francis was partly damaged. Note that many transport cars in Bamenda turned down a demand to transport the militants to Mbengwi because of insecurity.

On reaching the campaign ground in Mbengwi, Mbah Acha Rose Fomundam; CPDM Momo divisional campaign leader described wounded militants as true patriots and lovers of Cameroon.

While calling on the people of Momo division to brave all odds and vote massively for the CPDM party on the 9th of February 2020, the minister in charge of supreme state audit said nothing will stop the CPDM from winning big in Momo division.
