Senegal’s Sadio Mané Buys French Club Bourges Foot 18

Sadio Mané, the talented Senegalese footballer currently playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, has recently acquired ownership of Bourges Foot 18, a fourth-division club in France.

Mané, who is 31 years old, has been actively involved with the club for the past three years. During this time, he has made financial contributions to support the club’s recruitment efforts. Nevertheless, he has now assumed complete ownership of the club, with the approval of the current owner. President Cheikh Sylla played a crucial role in making the investment decision. Sylla will continue to serve as the president of the club. Yann Galut, the city’s mayor, has also approved the purchase by Mané.

Mané’s decision to purchase Bourges Foot 18 is regarded as a courageous move, considering the club’s current struggles in the fourth division. However, Mané expresses confidence in his ability to assist the club in achieving its goals.

“I am delighted to become the new owner of Bourges Foot 18,” Mané said in a statement. “This is a club with a lot of potential, and I am confident that we can achieve great things together.”

Mané’s plans for the club include investing in the infrastructure and improving the youth academy. He also wants to help the club develop a strong community presence.

“I want to build a club that is successful on and off the pitch,” Mané said. “I want Bourges Foot 18 to be a club that is proud of its roots and its community.”

Mané is not only invested in Bourges Foot 18 but he is also actively engaged in various philanthropic initiatives in his home country of Senegal. He has constructed schools and hospitals in his native village, demonstrating his commitment to promoting education and healthcare. Additionally, he actively advocates for these causes.

One of the many reasons why Mané is so popular with his fans is his strong commitment to helping others. He serves as a genuine role model for young footballers, and his achievements serve as a source of inspiration for everyone.

The club, situated in central France approximately 250 kilometres away from Paris, has never competed in a league higher than the French second division. Bourges currently occupies the second-to-last position in Group B of the Championnat National.

There is a lot of anticipation regarding how Mane will manage this club and elevate its standards.
