South Region: Man stabs friend in beer bottle scuffle

A shocking incident which happened in Nieté, in the South Region has left multitudes baffled. A 23-year-old man stabbed his friend to death in a scuffle over a bottle of beer.

The incident happened on Monday July 12, 2021 as the pair together went to a drinking spot to have a good time with some of their peers.

The young man stabbed to death was called Bedang, killed by his 23 year old friend, Etame Emile who is now in the hands of the forces of law and order.

The incident happened as Bedang who had gone out with his friend alongside others took his bottle of beer and emptied it.

Not knowing how dear the drink was to his friend, Bedang made lightweight of the incident.

A scuffle broke out between the pair when Etame had realised what his friend had done. In the heat of the argument, the 23 year old lost his temper, drew a knif and stabbed Bedang who bled to death.

Étamé Emile was arrested and is currently at the Niété Gendarmerie where further investigations are currently ongoing.
