South Region: Mother of six killed by drunk husband

Tchoua Raïssa, a 29-year-old mother of six children has been murdered by her drunkard husband in Bibouleman, a village in the South Region of Cameroon.

According to local reports, Raïssa’s husband was known for his violent nature, which was often exacerbated by heavy alcohol consumption.

Sources have it that the man whose identity MMI obtained as Sylvestre Emmanuel had made it an attitude to constantly physically assualt the mother of his children.

However, on the fateful day, the woman succumbed to the violence meted on her by her husband as she died from the injuries sustained.

“Coming back from a drunken outing, Mengang Sylvestre grabbed a club and knocked it out on his companion’s head, killing her spontaneously!” a source disclosed.

Alerted, forces of law and order arrived at the scene but were confronted by the man who attempted to attack them with a machete. He was later subdued and arrested. He has been remanded in custody, where he will face criminal charges for his crime.

The corpse of Tchoua Raïssa has been deposited at the mortuary, pending burial.
