The severe weather is gathering more victims on its path as a host of families in the South Regional capital, Ebolowa are now homeless after strong winds, followed by torrential rains, blew off several roofs off houses in the town.

The affected families of the thunderstorms are now pleading on the state to give a helping hand for them to repair their damage.

The winds, however, did not spare public structures, as the roof of the building hosting the Cameroon Press and Publishing Corporation, SOPECAM Ebolowa was blown off.

The South Regional Office of the National Bilingual Daily Newspaper, Cameroon Tribune was equally blown off. The roofs reportedly damaged many cars around the vicinity.

Thousands of books inside the SOPECAM building programmed for distribution in schools around the South Region equally hot completely soaked.

This latest rain havoc in the South Region precedes another that was caused in Bafia and Mbam & Inoubou in the Center Region. More than 50 houses had their roofs blown off, leaving more than 70 families in these towns homeless.
