Some students of the University of Bamenda, Uba in Cameroon’s restive North West region have condemned an Amba fighters’ attack on their campus today.
The attack instilled chaos in the University of Bamenda campus, disrupting lectures and consequently sending students back home.
Many have linked the attack to the no- respect of a Separatist- imposed lockdown in the town of Bambili that host the university.
A student told MMI that “…it will be very important if we can hold back till the government and the so called separatists fighters figure their differences and give us a more conducive environment”.
The same student said “the result of the incident today could have claimed a student’s life or a lecturer’s life and not that of any member of government”.
