Takumbeng chastises separatist fighters for kidnap of Nso Fon

The Takumbeng of the Baba I community in Ngoketunjia, North West region have expressed their dissatisfaction with the recent kidnap of the Fon of Nso by separatist fighters.

The women who came out today recalled that the Baba I people have always been at peace with their Nso counterparts.

Their excellent relations, they added, have been demonstrated in many ways including exchange of visits during cultural events and other important moments.

In a video released today, the women have promised that any son of their land who raises his hand at the Fon of Nso will know no peace.

The move comes after an earlier call by the Nso Development Association, NSODA General president who urged all sons and daughters of Nso land, home and abroad, to do all within their power to release the fon.

Moments ago, Cardinal Tumi who accompanied the ruler was released but efforts were still being made to have the fon released too.
