The population of Hausa Quarter in Melong, Moungo Division, Littoral Region are still in utter shock of the gruesome act perpetrated by a teenager to his disabled uncle.
18-year-old Goodwill is a student of the University of Buea who also lived with his deceased uncle in Moungo.
The incident happened yesterday May 17, 2021 at about 10:05pm. Apparently upset with his uncle over an undisclosed issue, he set the house on fire with his uncle in it before fleeing from the scene.
The victim, who operates a “Call box” to fend for himself was unable to escape his gruesome fate given the fact that he was living with a physical disability, limiting his ability to save himself.
The perpetrator of the act is on the run amidst a manhunt that has been launched. No one for now knows why he carried out such an action.
