The deceased publisher of The Post newspaper and Mayor of the Nkor council, Francis Wache has been laid to rest. He was interred Friday in Buea.
The heavily attended event saw the presence of several dignitaries including Mayor Njong Donatus of Kumbo. Also present were hundreds of mourners from the media family including former interns of The Post newspaper, all of whom attest to his impact in their lives.
The funeral mass was held at the St Charles Lwanga Parish, Molyko before the burial proper at his Bonduma residence.
The politician and journalist passed away in Buea on Friday December 20, 2019.
In honor of the late Francis Wache, the Cameroon Association of English -speaking Journalists, CAMASEJ has created the ‘Francis Wache Award’ in Print Media.
The late Wache it should be recalled was elected CAMASEJ national President in 2006.
