There’s a seemingly dangerous scene looming in the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon. A scientific coup d’état is gathering steam within the Presidential palace of the Republic.

Unlike well-known bloody coups done in the yesteryears, the prevailing scene is void of any form of suspicion, internal animosity, and wrangling. But possesses all the ingredients of veiled danger.

What is certain is that what transpired in the days of old is about resurfacing its ugly head. We canot forget so soon how children plotted coups to succeed their fathers in most palaces.

This current experience case Franck Olivier Emmanuel Biya appears to be slightly different. The difference is that it is more scientific. On several occasions, Franck Biya, son of President Paul Biya, has repeatedly disregarded state protocol and continues to impose his image on every key event taking place at the Unity Palace.

He struggles to steal the show from the Father at every given point like the case of the CEMAC summit and Macron’s visit to Cameroon.
Yes, Franck as a citizen of the Republic has the right to seek any office of his choice but not under the pretext or guise of the Son of the Head of State.

Cameroonians are still in shock and consternation following the outright disregard for state institutions demonstrated by a group fronting for the undisclosed ambition of Franck Biya.

Just like their master, they have shown public disrespect. On May 20th, 2023, under the watchful eyes of some local administrative authorities of the country, supporters of the Franckistes movement, believed to be fronting for Biya’s son’s Presidential dream, marched past different ceremonial grandstands with the effigy of the Head of State side by side Franck Emmanuel Biya.

Contrary to instructions from the Presidency of the Republic relating to the use of effigies on national day Celebrations, and on the lone use of the Head of State’s effigy to immortalize the March past exercise, some regional and local administrators went ahead to authorize the effigy of the Head of State son’s to flex heights with the President of the Republic, commander in chief of the armed forces.

Political analysts say, only manifests the unquenchable appetite for power on the part of these administrators who are desperately doing all they can to please Franck Emmanuel Biya at the detriment of the President of the Republic himself, his Father.

What makes Cameroonians more embarrassed is the fact that the Franckistes movement marched before the ruling CPDM party in some parts of the country.

It is unimaginable how the effigy of an ordinary citizen appeared in a national day celebration before the National Symbol, the democratically elected leader of the country.

The question now Is, What if MRC, SDF, and PCRN decide to March past with the effigies of their party leaders? To prove that the scientific coup d’état is already well calculated, the majority of those who marched past were descendants of the Youth wing of the ruling CPDM party (YCPDM).

There is this strong allegation that this group of youth is mainly venting frustration after being rejected by the party to occupy grassroots offices.
To satisfy their personal egos and frustrations, they decided to join the Franckistes movement.

For example, in Tiko, Buea, Douala, and Edea, some parts of the North and center regions, the Franckistes movement was conspicuously present.

How on earth would a political party take the effigy of the Head of State and combine it with that of an ordinary citizen on the same banner? And all of these happen under the watchful eyes of administrative authorities who are by virtue of their office representing the President of the Republic in these respective administrative units.

It is Time to call Franckistes movement to order or else one morning we shall wake up to a cold palace overtaken by a Coup D’état
