Professor Charlemagne Pascal Messanga Nyamding has reacted to his recent transfer from the International Relations Institute (IRIC) of the University of Yaounde II to the Garoua campus of the University of Ngaoundere.
His transfer follows a series of ordeals that he has gone through in recent times in the hands of Higher Education Minister, Jacque Fame Ndongo.
The Professor in his outing has claimed that the recent actions targeted at him are simply a ploy to assassinate him.
On Friday, March 19, 2021, Professor Charlemagne Messanga Nyamding was sacked as the Head of the Department for Integration and Development Cooperation at Cameroon’s Institute of International Relations (IRIC). He was replaced by Mr. Yves Paul Madjem in a communiqué signed by the Minister of Higher Education, Professor Jacques Fame Ndongo.
While Professor Messanga Nyamding was yet to finish reeling from his replacement at IRIC, another communiqué was signed still by the Minister of Higher Education, indicating that he had been transferred to the Faculty of Legal and Political Science of the University of Ngaoundéré annex in Garoua, a move which the professor has seen as a terrible blow.
Reacting to his recent ordeals, the professor lashed out at the regime bigwigs for subjecting him to such cruel treatment.
The outspoken professor claims that a plan is being concocted to assassinate him.
“The situation is very serious at the moment ever since my hearing at the Secretariat of State for Defense (SED) on March 9, 2021. No day has gone by without me receiving death threats or Administrative intimidations. This must all stop because, at the moment, there is nothing that justifies these swirling hostilities towards me,” he reacted.
“I gave everything to my country and to my party (CPDM) even going as far as losing part of my sight and my best friend, Charles Ateba Eyene, and many other things on the political field. As I write these few lines to you, I can confirm that they have only one intention, and that is to assassinate me” wrote Professor Pascal Messanga Nyamding.
The Professor had spent over 5 hours at SED in Yaoundé where he was interrogated in a case of defamation. He, later on, revealed that the case in which he was dragged into was orchestrated by a regime baron so as to implicate him and take him off the scenes.
