At least 27 persons are feared to have drowned in a boat which capsized on its way to Tiko, Cameroon from Equatorial Guinea yesterday.
The boat is believed to have been turned over in the water by a violent wave at sea.
Rescued passengers of the accident have been transported to the hospital in Malabo by the Equatoguinean security agents
The boat was filled with Cameroonians and other African citizens like Nigerians and Malians, who had left Equatorial Guinea, following recent raids on foreigners in the Central African country.
For now there has not yet been any official reaction from the Equatoguinean nor Cameroonian authorities concerning the incident at sea.
