Tiko:Fight between two footballers leaves one dead

One person has died after a fight erupted between two young footballers in Tiko, South West Region of Cameroon.

According to reports, a certain Zenge was involved in a brawl with Alain George Bisse, a defender at the Tiko United Football Club in the early hours of Monday morning.

“The scuffle later accidentally caused the serious wounding and subsequent death of ‘Zenge’, thereby causing a grave loss to his family and friends,” revealed the communication board of Took United FC in a recent release.

They added that their, “…player is currently under detention while an investigation is opened to ascertain the extent of his responsibility.”

“We condemn with strong and unambiguous terms all acts of physical violence that may have caused the untimely death of Zenge,” the release stated.

The exact cause of the fight is yet to be identified by MMI. The body of Zenge has been taken to the mortuary pending burial.
