His Majesty Onla Yebga, chief Manganga, a village in the Nyong-Et-Kelle Division of the Centre Region, has promised to offer 100,000 FCFA to the Indomitable Lions in case they qualify for the 2nd round of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
In a letter to the president of the Cameroon Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o, the traditional ruler equally promised a bonus of 25,000 FCFA to the first Cameroonian to score a goal in the tournament.
“While imagining that 7 games (to reach the final) is so complicated and yet achievable, we ask you to convey to the brave Lions our humble encouragement and our support, certainly modest, but unwavering,” His Majesty Onla Yebga noted.
This comes a few days after some US-based Cameroonians donated the sum of 4 million FCFA to the Cameroon Football Federation to support the Lions vis-a-vis the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.
