FIFA World Cup: Germany and Japan to thrill fans in mouthwatering encounter

The first match in Group E of the FIFA World Cup will pit Germany against Japan at 2pm this November 23, 2022.

The performance of the German Mannschaft at final phase of the world cup competition has been remarkable.

Germany have won the FIFA World Cup four times; just like Italy. Only Brazil have lifted the trophy five times which is the highest in the world.

Equally, Germany has finished as runners-up the most times; losing in the World Cup final on four occasions.

On her part, Japan has no outstanding history at the FIFA World Cup. She has, however, qualified for the last seven editions of World Cups and reached the knockout stage in 2002, 2010, and 2018.

Japan will have Germany as a force to reckon with.
