Police and Gendarmerie officials in Ebone have succeeded in restoring circulation along the Nkongsamba-Ebone road after a tree fell and blocked the road.
“After an intense downpour and heavy win, passengers and other road users were left stranded on Wednesday on Nkongsamba and Ebone highway, we were stuck on the spot for hours,” a passenger told MMI.
The trees were taken out of the road by police and Gendarmerie officials who intervened after passengers had waited for hours.
“Following the gradual reduction of the rain, police together Gandamere from Ebone came with some engine saw. Surrounding villagers were already using cutlasses and axes under the rain,” added our source.
