Transport authorities take measures to repair collapsing road in the West Region

Heavy duty vehicles of above 17 tons have been temporarily banned from plying the road from Bafang to Bafoussam passing through Bandja in the West region of Cameroon.

Following a release signed by Siewe Joseph; regional delegate of transport in the West region, vehicles should for now use the road from Melong to Santchou passing through Dschang to Bafoussam. According to the release signed Wednesday October 16th 2019, the measure will be implemented until repair works at a collapsing portion of the road between Bafang and Bandja is completed.

Note that, a portion of the road is collapsing at a place called PK 7+850 otherwise known as entree Lycee Technique de Batcho – Banka along national road number 5.
