Repentant ‘Amba fighter’ killed in Wum

“I will make sure my brothers come out of the bushes if nothing happend to me” Ikom Polycap Bah a repentant amba fighter.

Sources in Wum have confirmed the death of Ikom Polycap an “amba fighter” who yesterday during the installation ceremony of the senior divisional officer for Menchum dropped his arms.

Convinced by the government slogan of ‘those who drop their arms will be granted pardon’, Polycap said “I came to see if truely freedom has been granted to this Division… so that I can call my brothers out of the bushes and they will believe me because I came and nothing happened. I wish and I believe nothing will happen to me” polycap said.

While in the Bush polycap confessed to have fought with Muslims and soldiers. His plea for forgiveness received applause from the men and women present at the Wum grandstand.

“We know him as a fighter here in Wum. I have been affected by his actions. I don’t want to talk about it. It’s a sad experience please. Thank God he has repented. We have suffered” a lady at the Wum market who spoke on basis of anonymity tolr MMI.

Polycap during his speech swore that he will ensure ambazonian fighters activities in Wum become history.

Unfortunately, sources in Wum have confirmed that Polycap was murdered and his death is being blamed on the negligence of authorities.
