Thieves Rob Tungui And Bamenda Cooperative Credit Unions

Thieves have broken into two financial institutions in Bamenda North West region of Cameroon. Locals say the Bamenda Women Cooperative Credit and Tinguh Cooperative Credit Unions were attacked at about 11:30 pm Wednesday 16, 2019 .

The heavily armed men of the underworld who chased away security agents on guard with frightening gunshots made their way into the financial structures but did not succeed in getting the money away.

At the Bamenda Women cooperative credit union, they tried in vain to break the high tech safe.

The desperation to go home with money, took them to the Tinguh Cooperative credit union. There, they reportedly destroyed ten doors including that of the manager, but could not find the safe.
A witness says the thieves operated for close to three hours before the intervention of security officials.
