The Senegalese national basketball team spent the night of June 27 to June 28 on the floor of a hotel in Istanbul, Turkey.
The delegation was said to be on their way to Alexandria, Egypt for the 2023 World cup qualifiers.
Once at Istanbul, their journey was halted following instructions by the Egyptians authorities.
Reports say the authorities prohibited the Turkish company from flying them to Alexandria.
It was on the evening of Tuesday, June 28 that issues were resolved by the Egyptian delegation afterwhich the delegation left for Alexandria.
