Trending news stories in Cameroon – 15th April, 2021

The process to decongest Kumba city is ongoing. The Kumba City Council, headed by Gregory Mewanu says the city has been highly congested, making circulation difficult, this need for the decongestion plan.


The examination of 2610 files of academic certificates obtained abroad by Cameroonians took place in Yaounde today. Experts from the Ministry of Higher Education say the pandemic was an obstacle to the process given that some countries are in lockdown. 17 certificates were declared fake.

Thirty-two COVID-19 vaccination centers have been put in place in Douala. Launching the campaign in Douala today, the Minister of Public Health emphasised that despite the vaccination, respect of COVID-19 measures remains important.
