The Archbishop of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Douala has called on christians to display unity and commitment in serving God. His Grace, Samuel Kleda was speaking during a Holy Thursday mass today. The ceremony was attended among others, by over a hundred priests of the Douala Archdiocese.

Over eleven families have been rendered homeless after flames consumed several houses in Mbijem. Mbijem is situated in Nkambe Sub-Division, in Cameroon’s North West Region. It is not known what provoked the incident — though speculations are rife that it originated from a bush fire.

A car was set ablaze and others destroyed today at the Ministry of Justice by a disgruntled civilian. Reports say the perpetrator of the act said he was acting in revenge for not getting justice in a land dispute. “Should me if you want, I am ready to die,” the protester shouted.
The Director of the Laquintinie Hospital in Douala has issued a stern warning over violence perpetrated on its staff by disgruntled patients. Professor Noel Essomba warned that perpetrators of such violence will henceforth face the heavy arm of the law.
The Confederation of African Football, CAF has disclosed official dates for the AFCON tournament set to hold in Cameroon in 2022. The tournament, it revealed, will run from January 9 to February 6, 2022. The official draws for the tournament will take place on June 25, 2021.
