There have been calls for authorities to take action against two police officers caught on tape fighting in public. A recording outside a popular nightclub in Buea appears to show the officers fighting over money.

Some Cameroonians are angry over what they call a “discriminatory treatment” of sick prisoners in Cameroon. A presidential decision to release the former General Manager of CRTV has been a source of controversy in the country. Critics argue the presidential pardon should also be extended to victims of the Anglophone Crisis.

Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions have arrived Cape Verde ahead of their fifth African Cup of Nations qualifications match this Friday March 26th. Zambo Anguissa, one of the midfielders will not take part in the match because of COVID-19 restrictions from his club.

The Mayor of Nkambe council, Shey Musa Nfor has offered didactic materials and items to fight against COVID-19 to the inspectorate of basic education in Nkambe Sub-Division. The materials are to be distributed to government primary schools in the subdivision.

The Governor of the North West region has been reminded to sanction government workers that abandon their duty posts in the region. Joseph Le, minister of public service and administrative reforms on a visit to Bamenda said many government workers are using insecurity as a pretext not to work in areas where they are posted.

Queen Mantfombi MaDlamini Zulu has been appointed regent of South Africa’s Zulu nation following the recent death of her husband. King Goodwill Zwelithini, an influential traditional ruler, had been on the throne for five decades when he died earlier in March.

A high court in Rwanda has decided to continue with the terrorism trial of a man portrayed as a hero in a 2004 Hollywood movie about the Rwandan genocide. Earlier this month, Paul Rusesabagina said he would not appear in court again as he did not expect justice.
