The Minister of Secondary Education has reiterated the importance of distance learning in the process of education. Nalova Lyonga, while receiving other equipment to reinforce the process, said despite the challenges, distance learning should be reinforced. She received over 15000 tablets to facilitate online training. This has been donated by UNICEF and other partners.


Over 600 microfinance institutions are operating in Cameroon with some doing so in illegality. The ministry of finance has shortlisted those operating in illegality for them to regularise their documents or face administrative sanctions.

Dr. Erick Tandi, an expert in the ministry of public health says taking a complete dose is necessary.


Three children are in intensive medical care after consuming pear yesterday in Douala. Two other children of the same family died last evening after consuming the same fruit offered to them by their grandparent. Police have opened investigation to unravel the cause of the incident.
