Some enterprises in Douala have been distributing T-shirts and caps to their workers ahead of International Labour’s Day tomorrow. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no public celebration.


There is fear and uncertainty in Galim Subdivision in the West region of Caneroon following the killing of four military officers in the area this morning. Separatists from Bambalang in the North West region of Cameroon have claimed responsibility. Locals have accused soldiers of flirting with girls and women used by separatists to lure the soldiers to be attacked.


Traders of Mache de la Gar in Douala protest against workers of Douala 2 Council for asking them to rent market place for one hundred thousand francs cfa. The assistant divisional officer of Douala 2 has called on the traders to document their grievances and submit to the SDO.

Evangelist Mutangha Sylvanus Tifuh has called on inmates at Bamenda Central Prison to give their lives to Jesus Christ. The militant of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party has handed foodstuffs to the prisoners. Note that Evangelist Mutangha has handed foodstuffs to several prisons in Cameroon since he was released from prison.

Journalists in Cameroon have taken to social media denouncing the brutalization of two journalists of Canal 2 international by workers of the Yaounde 5 Council. The media house in a communique this day condemned the action. A cameraman, wounded by the municipal police, is still receiving medical attention.

Several civilians have fled Mbengwi, a town in Cameroon’s North West region and are seeking shelter in the bushes. They fled the locality at the sight of approaching government soldiers. Sources say the soldiers have visited the village following an explosion by separatist fighters that left some members of the armed forces dead.
