Some inhabitants of Below Foncha Street in Bamenda say government’s version of why a young man was killed last Sunday in the quarter by the military is a total lie. Going by a release signed by the head of the communication unit at the ministry of defence, the man was mistakenly killed though the the ministry says he was an agent of separatists that had for months avoided to answer a judicial convocation.


Establishing biometric passports within 48 hours in Cameroon will not be a reality in the North West region. Emigration policemen in Bamenda say epileptic energy supply in the city of Bamenda cannot power biometric machines. Famous Mortuary attendant at the Laquintini Hospital mortuary, Ndoumbe has reportedly died. His death was announced this evening by hospital authorities at the Laquintinie hospital in Douala.


Cameroon has strengthened security at its Kyé-Ossi border with Equatorial Guinea. The reinforcement follows an incident where a Cameroonian was shot in the leg during a land that is in dispute between both countries.


The town of Babadjou in the West Region has been in darkness for several days now following the burning of a transformer in Balengou. Many fear that it might likely take months for the transformer to be replaced.
