The administration and population of Kumba, South West region of Cameroon are celebrating the killing of a separatist self proclaimed commander called General Transporter. The notorious terrorist according to officials was killed as he was trying to implant a locally-made bomb behind government school Kosala, Kumba.


A vehicle transporting illicit fuel from Douala to Idenau in the South West has been intercepted in Bonaberi, Douala IV. Occupants of the vehicle, a police source says transformed the car seats to bags where the illicit fuel was stored.

The family of Isoufou Yayah at Quartier Bafia in Douala is in search of a boy suspected to have taken away their sheep. The sheep was tied behind the house ahead of the feast of ram tomorrow. But during a check this evening, Mr Yayah discovered that the animal was no where to found meanwhile the suspect (a neighbour) has disappeared.

At least 50 Boko Haram Terrorists have reportedly surrendered themselves to the vigilante group in Kolofata, Far North Region. The report by L’oeil du Sahel suggests that a greater majority of these fighters are Nigerians.


The Global Peace Index has ranked Cameroon as the number 145th most insecure country in the world. Cameroon is placed ahead of fellow crisis stricken countries, Mali and Nigeria.
