The Regional Delegate of Secondary Education for the North West region of Cameroon says the Regional Council should focus on reviving schools that have been shut down because of the crisis. This was in the course of a seminar today ahead of the council’s budgetary session that opens tomorrow in Bamenda.



The Diocese of Mamfe has expressed sincere condolences to the family of a man in the diocese who died while in captivity. In a release signed by the chancellor of the diocese, one of those kidnapped on May 21 by armed men died. The diocese however rejoices over the safe release of Rev. Fr. Christopher Eboka.


Kidney patients in Yaounde once again staged a strike in front of the Yaounde General Hospital. They are demanding adequate medical care by calling on the government to provide more dialysis machines. This is not the first time kidney patients are in protest asking for improved health care.


Candidates preparing for end of course examinations are now reading round the clock ahead of the start of examinations. Kidnapped Mamfe Diocesan Priest, Fr. Eboka has been released by Ambazonian Fighters. The priest spent approximately 10 days in captivity and was released without any ransom paid.

At least 6 pupils of the Government Primary School Nkolfoulou, in the Centre Region have been kidnapped by unknown individuals. Witnesses say the little victims were taken aboard a taxi to an undisclosed location.

Cameroon International goalkeeper, André Onana has been linked with a move to Arsenal in England. The move is however complicated due to his current ban which he is serving for having failed a doping test.

Public Health Minister, Dr. Manaouda Malachie has come to the rescue of a girl called Solange Mafere, who was shot in Galim by separatists and abandoned at a local hospital. Minister Malachie has instructed all expenses of the victim to be cleared and that she should be given appropriate medical attention.
