A truck is reported to have crushed at least two persons to death in Yaounde yesterday. The duo is said to be a commercial biker rider identified as Kimbe Desmon and one of two passengers he was transporting.
The accident locals said the accident occurred around Lycee Etougebe in the nation’s capital. The lone survivor of the accident, a man believed to be the husband of the woman who died alongside Kimbi is said to have lost one of his hands in the accident.
A source said, “… The lady died on the spot while the husband was transferred to the hospital with one hand cut off”.
Meanwhile, the corpse of the commercial motorbike rider is said to have been transported to the Yaounde Central Hospital Mortuary.
Road accidents involving commercial bikes and heavy-duty trucks have remained on the rise in major towns and cities in Cameroon.
