Two men have been beaten to death in Ngousso, a neighborhood in Cameroon’s capital, Yaounde.
The incident occured at Pong Ngousso at about 8:30PM on Monday where both men hired a bike, presumably with the intention of robbing the rider.
A source said “… when they faced stiff resistance from the bike rider, they knifed him on the head.”
He added that “… when the man raised an alarm, the population streamed out under the heavy rains and got hold of them.”
The corpses were not immediately taken from the scene. For a day and a half, our source said both dead bodies laid there as authorities exchanged blames over who was to evacuate them.
He said “…the police was invited to the scene earlier this Tuesday and they came and said it is the work of firefighters. When the firefighters were called, they said it was the work of council.”
For the meantime, the identities of the lynched me remain unknown.
