Two Cameroonians among UNHCR art contest winners

Cameroonians Mukah Isphani and Toh Bright, 24 and 25 years of age respectively are among seven global winners of the UNHCR Youth with Refugees Arts Contest.

Launched in April 2020 within the COVID-19 context, the competition had as theme “Everyone counts in the fight against the virus, including refugees.”

It was aimed at encouraging youths to display their creativity through art.

The two young Cameroonians were received today Friday August 28th, 2020 by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees’ representative …in Cameroon, Olivier Guillaume B.

Organisers say some 2000 entries were received from 150 different countries for the contest.
