Two Corpses Discovered in Bali Nyongha

Two unidentified youths are lying dead near Matua Bridge in Tih Quarter, Bali Nyongha since yesterday night Saturday 29 September 2018. They’re about 18 to 22 years. One is wearing a Muslim gown but neatly dressed.

All the neighbours have testified that it occurred yesterday when no car was moving.

They suddenly heard the sound of a vehicle at about 8 pm. It halted around the Pentecostal Church Tih and soon descended towards Matua River. They later heard two gunshots and the vehicle drove off instantly.

It is still unclear who the occupants of the car were since the frightened locals were all indoors. This Sunday morning, out of curiosity they went towards the Matua River and found these two neatly dressed young boys lying dead across the bridge.

Bali residents have been at the scene and all testified that the deceased are not natives of Bali Nyonga.

“If your son is not at home between Bamenda and Mamfe, do well to come verify in Bali…” the source announced.

“Bali Council has closed down and in the absence of the DO and all traditional authorities including the Court of First Instance, there is no available administrator to attend to such cases. Even the military which has been parading the Bali highway since today afternoon has not conveyed them to the mortuary. A call for concern then,” the local again recounted.

The road linking Bamenda to Mbengwi via Bali has remained barricaded as tension mounts ahead of October 1.
