At least two persons have died in a ghastly motor accident along the Mbalmayo-Ebolowa road axis in the Center Region of Cameroon. They were among other passengers on board a bus belonging to Galaxie Voyages Agency.
At least 12 others have also been hospitalized with serious injuries from the accident.
Witness accounts recount that the accident occured when the driver on high speed suddenly saw a dog running across the road.
While trying to avoid the animal, the car lost its control and suddenly ran out of the road, hitting a tree in a bush nearby.
Reports say it was just last December that the agency started transporting passengers from Mbalmayo to Ebolowa.
This same agency has been accused multiple times of overworking its drivers, who are almost always driving across the country with little or no rest.
