Two feared dead as Eto’o’s car crashes in Boumnyebel accident

Two persons are feared to have lost their lives in an accident this evening along the busy Yaounde-Douala highway.

The accident happened when a private vehicle ran into a service car on the highway at Boumnyebel, not far from the capital, Yaounde.

The service car belonged to football star Samuel Eto’o Fils, and was given to him as Vice President of the organising committee of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations. Eto’o who doubles as president of Cameroon’s football federation, FECAFOOT was not in the vehicle at the time of the accident, .

The condition of his driver and other potential victims remains unknown at the moment.

The Yaounde-Douala highway continues to witness some of the most ghastly road accidents in the country. Days back, still at Boumnyebel, not far from Yaounde, another car crash left at least four dead including a woman and her little baby.

The car had attempted to overtake two cars successively when it’s tyre fired up, sending it off the road.
