Two kids die from poisoning in Mbonge

Two children, have died after a family of ten persons reportedly consumed a poisoned meal in Kindongi, near Ekombe Mbonge in the South West Region of Cameroon.

The incident which took the lives of the said girls occured Friday, August 5, 2022.

According to sources, the remaining members of the family survived after being rushed to the hospital, while the two kids could not survive.

“…the two kids died on the spot, 8 other children who consumed the same meal were rushed to the Kumba district hospital. They are doing well at the moment” a source told MMI.

The corpses of the two children have been taken to the mortuary, pending burial.
