Two kids severely injured as abandoned grenade goes off in Njitapon

Two children have sustained severe injuries following the explosion of a grenade in Njitapon, West Region of Cameroon.

Reports revealed that the children were playing with the grenade on Sunday June 19, when it suddenly exploded, leaving them with severe cuts on the leg and stomach.

It is alleged that the grenade was left behind by Amba fighters of, “General No Pity” during his recent attack in the locality which cost the lives of 5 gendarmes.

This incident comes few weeks after a grenade explosion took the life of a pupil in Kumbo, North West Region of Cameroon.

The two victims of the latest granade explosion where transported to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving medical attention.
